QUADRAPEDAL PIKMIN

Here we have my concept art for a quadrapedal black Pikmin. Its skin has a bit of a sooty texture - petting it actually feels quite soft. It can run very fast, and likes to dig and hide! They fare well in ruined areas, like forests after a fire, where they can blend into the ash.

The little guys aren't designed to fit into a world built around the game mechanics - it just exists to be.

PIKMIN ICONS

These guys might look a little familiar... I'm using them for the navigation icons on the left side over...

Ah, all their pixels are showing... the woes of being large!

SITTING PIKMIN

Here are the little guys sitting on the top of the toolbar, cheering you on throughout your day! Or, at least while you're looking at the site.

And if you want the larger image of them, too;

"3D" PIKMIN

Here we have some "3D" styled Pikmin. They're not actually 3d, and only use a simple art effect, resulting in this rudimentary, plasticy look.

POKEMIN

Ever wondered what Pikmin would look like in the style of Pokemon? Well, here they are, rendered in an imitation of Ken Sugimori's modern artstyle. But if simple artwork isn't enough...

Here are some little profiles on the guys too! The traits that are present in the Pikmin's behaviour and design are amplified - Like transferring the Red Pikmin's higher level of strength into a battle-ready attitude, turning the Yellow Pikmins unique boldness with bombs in the original games into impulsivity, or taking the Blue Pikmin's frowny looking face and broadening that into an apprehensive personality.

PIKMIN ONIONS

Personally, I like to think that instead of the updates to the Onion designs just being design tweaks, that all the different Pikmin Onions exist at once, in universe, sporting different appearances depending on the region they were created and which clan of Pikmin they are home to. I would like to expand on this concept more... Once I get around to adding content to the "My Piklopedia" page, which will include more of my thoughts like this, and in more depth! BROWN PIKMIN

Yet another original Pikmin design, this time for an unnervingly spindly brown Pikmin. Their large leaf (/bud/flower) grants them the ability to drift down slowly through the air when falling, giving them a slight paragliding ability. Though, this species would prefer to stay buried in the ground to grow ever larger, soaking in the sunlight, and only uprooting themselves to move when they're threatened by predators or when something blocks their sunlight.
